Wow its been way to long which is a good thing cuz that means i have been a busy bee in the studio but it also means I need to step my blogging game up lol. So, Im nearing the end only 4 weeks left of my senior year and 2 weeks after that Iam officially a free bird (whos already thinking about grad school lol) But we shall see what happens with that. Iam excited, elated and nervous of course, but Iam excited to see where I go what I do.
ANyways been busy in the studio felting and casting metal. My senior thesis piece is a giant steel cocoon that I designed and had an amazing welder fabricate!! My other piece is wool vessels that I made from a total of 21 grams of wool (the weight of your soul). The cocoon will be covered in a skin of felt and you will be able to get inside of it. It has been a struggle but such an amazing transcendant piece to work on. I cant wait to see it fully done!!!!
